LAKE LUCERNE

I had expected rain today for our drive but it was just cloudy.  A pleasant surprise.  Just a two hour drive.   The hotel we are staying in is right on the lake in Weggis.  Weggis is east of Lucerne.  But a cute little town with lots of small hotels.   Not many shops but I think they must just leave that part of the tourism industry to Lucerne.  I think the next few days are supposed to be very nice.  That leaves us pretty flexible on what we do tomorrow.  You’ll have to wait and see!   But in the meantime here are pictures of the Seehotel Gotthard.  By the way – the chef at this hotel is really awesome.   Not a bad thing on the menu.    Of course, as in anything in Switzerland, you pay for it…..$$$!  Yikes!

People Mover Lake Lucerne Style

Mark Twain loved to visit the town of Weggis.  This plaque was put up in honor of his favorite spot to sit lakeside.

staying.  We did not go on it though.

Gotthard Hotel.  The food was absolutely delicious!
