A DRIVE THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS

On our way through the mountains to Innsbruck we were able to see some really beautiful vistas.  Some of the photos I just took from the moving car.  It would have taken a few more hours if we had stopped for every incredible view!

THANKS FOR DRIVING RANDY!!  TUNNELS CARVED HIGH UP IN THE MOUNTAINS.  WE WERE DRIVING AT ABOUT 5600 FEET AT THIS POINT!

YIKES!  DON'T MAKE A WRONG MOVE HERE!

HOPE NO ONE COMES OUT OF THIS CAVE TOO FAST!  WATCH THAT FIRST STEP....IT'S A DOOZEY!

THEY JUST LOVE BUILDING THESE CHURCHES RIGHT ON THE TOP OF MOUNTAINS.  THEY PROBABLY THOUGHT YOU'D BE CLOSER TO GOD!

RANDY LIKED THIS OLD BUS

LOOKED LIKE THIS WAS A POPULAR SPOT FOR ROCK CLIMBING.

Arrived in Innsbruck late afternoon.  Was a longer drive than we expected.  Walked around the old town and found a spot outside to eat. As long as it's not raining you want to eat outside because these places do not have air conditioning.  I'm glad we found a place that was a little off the beaten path though because the area really was over-flowing with tourists.

  1. Amazing they could even build that one tall house on top of such a steep mountain peak. These churches and houses like that must have cutting edge antennas for lightning strikes (I would hope).
