PRACTICE DAY AT THE RACE TRACK

Got up bright and early to get to the racetrack.   It is about an hour drive.  Rain on the way and I know there is rain in the forecast.  They race and practice in the rain so no chance of cancellation (unless there is just too much water staying on the track).  After a good long walk, we finally get to our gate.  We hang out in our seats for a while.

We were going to meet up with a friend of Randy's who got us passes to the Paddock Club seating which is right over the pit area.  We were able to be in the Paddock Club for Saturday and Sunday.  Free food and drinks and Wifi!  And an awesome view.  Plus we had access to seats in one of the sections of the track.  Randy and the boys went over there during the qualifying round of the F1 cars.  But they didn't stay too long since a storm came through and there was some lightning.  The kids were able to spend time up close and personal during the Porsche Supercup practice and race.

THIS IS KAMUI KOBAYASHI.   HE HASN'T HAD ANY WINS IN F1 AND I ALWAYS LIKE TO JOKE WITH THE GUYS THAT HE'S MY FAVORITE.  THEY HATE IT WHEN I ROUTE FOR HIM!

After the long day at the track we drove back to Alzey and found an old tavern to have dinner.  Then it was back to Heimersheim for one more night at the Koehler's place.
