CHATEAU DE LA HULPE

TOOK NEWTON AND BRIAN OVER TO WALK AROUND CHATEAU DE LA HULPE TODAY.  WE HAD SUN ALL MORNING CLOUDS ROLLED IN AFTER LUNCH AND THAT IS WHEN WE WERE THERE.  OF COURSE WITHIN 10 MINUTES OF RETURNING TO THE HOUSE, THE SUN WAS BACK OUT.  SO AS USUAL, A DULL WASHED OUT LOOKING SKY IN MY PICTURES.  I'M DETERMINED TO GET THERE ONE DAY WITH BLUE SKIES.

THIS IS THE FOLON FOUNDATION;  IT HOUSES ARTWORK FROM BELGIAN ARTIST, JEAN-MICHAEL FOLON;  HE SPENT MUCH TIME IN HIS CHILDHOOD AT THE CHATEAU'S PARK AND IN 2000 HE DONATED MORE THAN 500 PIECES OF HIS ARTWORK TO THE FOUNDATION.
A GIANT SEQUOIA;  I DID NOT REALIZE THEY GREW IN THIS AREA....UNTIL NOW
